Wish I Were Here.
Today sucked.
Sometimes the hardest part is finding that everything is right where you left it, because everything is really the same.
Yogi Tea Quotes of Today
“Inspiring other towards happiness brings you happiness”
“The truth that other place in you is your grace”

use your head.
Even when you try your best to be happy, you don’t have to be all the time.
Same song, same sentiment.

Take a little love where you can Nobody’s on nobody’s side Never stay too long in your bed Never lose your heart, use your head Nobody’s on nobody’s side. Never take a stranger’s advice Never let a friend fool you twice...
My things of the day that I get to be happy...
-Saw the beautiful Amanda sing her beautiful songs in her senior recital. So much love and admiration for this woman.
-Being around to witness Hillary find $25 dollars and buying a beautiful bouquet of flowers!
-Watching this AMAZING African dance and drum troupe at Octoberfest and being floored by the children who danced so beautifully and drummed as well as the other adults around them. They...

Project Self Improvement?
It’s not really such a catchy name, but my friend James has already coined “Project Happiness”. In truth, I don’t know James very well, I follow his blog religiously. Although he doesn’t always know it, he is very much a ray of light even when he feels like he’s surrounded by complete darkness. Everyday he blogs about something that made him happy, and usually...
Come on now!
Good morning,
It’s your time to shine. Time to get with the program and get it together!
i’m waiting.
Day Seven: Four turn offs
1. I freaking hate people who are secretly mean. I don’t care if you’re an asshole and you’re completely frank about it, then at least I know to avoid you (there is also a secret odd love I have for people who are so terribly honest about how they feel, even though their behavior may be regrettable). But people who make a great effort to appear wonderful and secretly suck are the...

Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never...
Preface: This is awful to ask someone to write about…so we’ll see how it goes.
1. There are many times I wish I never did the Student Musical last year, for various reasons. A. My nodes got worse, much worse and since then I haven’t fully recovered. B. My broken voice had to be recorded on a CD that I can’t bare to listen to because I will literally cry. C. I ruined...
I miss...
Today I thought for a long time about the graffiti on the bridge in Iowa City that goes over the Iowa River. It read in big, bold letters: “You Are Not What You Own”. I very much regret walking by that everyday and never taking a picture of it…it was oddly refreshing to see everyday in a place that seemed so foreign. It reminded me of home.
if your heart is nowhere in it, i don’t want it for a minute
Here’s what’s not beautiful about it: from here, you can’t see the rust or the cracked paint or whatever, but you can tell what the place really is. You see how fake it all is. It’s not even hard enough to be made out of plastic. It’s a paper town. I mean, look at it, Q: look at all those cul-de-sacs, those streets that turn in on themselves, all the houses that were built to fall out. All those...
I will...
Who knows how long I’ve loved you You know I love you still Will I wait a lonely lifetime If you want me to, I will. For if I ever saw you I didn’t catch your name But it never really mattered I will always feel the same. Love you forever and forever Love you with all my heart Love you whenever we’re together Love you when we’re apart. And when at last I find you Your...
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind
1. The smell of the north woods sometimes comes to me and it makes me miss my childhood summers in Mercer. It wasn’t just the pine trees, the bonfires, the lake, or the fishing, but the people I went with are what I miss the most. The last summer up there was when I was 14, and I cried the entire way home (which is about a 5 hour car ride) because I knew I would probably never see them...
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
1. Be consistent. Not that I don’t like a good surprise now and then, but I like knowing that someone is going to be there for me when I need them.
2. They have to be funny. I’m pretty goofy, so if I can’t joke around and act like an idiot it’s just not going to go so well.
3. Be kind, and don’t just pretend to be kind because you think you have to. I’m pretty...
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
1. I wanted to be an entomologist for about 4 years until I found out that I would have to probably kill copious amounts of bugs. I think I spent more time in my backyard uncovering bugs under rocks than playing with friends my own age, which I’m sure was detrimental in some sense. I still get a little bit excited when I see a spider :)
2. I apologize way too much. When someone bumps (even...
Day 1.
I stole this from Naomi but didn’t know how to re-blog it..oopsies.
I have never done one of these before either, so I suppose it would be interesting…
